Emmanuel Frimpong, who was sent-off in the Gunners 2-0 loss against Liverpool on Saturday, didn’t take kindly to the CNN host’s jibes about the current state of affairs at the Emirates.

‘U should be ashamed to call urself an arsenal fan all u do is moan about ur team y don't u do ur job and i will do mine,’ said Frimpong, after another rant from Morgan.

Morgan, former editor of the Daily Mirror, quickly replied: ‘Easy, Tiger. Try winning some games (when you're allowed to play again) and trust me, my mood will soon improve.’

Jagielka staying at Everton

David Moyes claims Arsenal target Phil Jagielka is happy to stay at Everton unless he is told otherwise.

"I have had two or three conversations with Jags and he is up-to-date with everything and anything that has happened," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo.

Cesc Fabregas Barcelona shirts sell out in 3 hours

After putting pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Spanish champions on Monday afternoon, crazed fans rushed this morning to snap up their replica Fabregas jerseys and cleared the shelves of the midfielder’s famous No.4 by lunchtime.

Owen posted the picture on his Twitter account early on Thursday, saying he was about to 'embark on the biggest challenge of his life'.

But a short time later the 31-year-old appeared to be going to pieces over the magnitude of what was in front of him and appealed to his followers to give some tips on how to piece it all together.

Almost two hours after he'd emptied the contents over his kitchen table Owen then announced that he'd barely been able to connect four pieces and find the edges, much to amusement of his 600,000 followers.

He consequently gave up on the idea, instead tuning in to the radio to hear his horse Electric Qatar race at York.

Gabriel Batistuta having trouble standing up

Former Argentine footballer Gabriel Batistuta, 42, can not stand on his knees for more than half an hour, Italian journalist Luca Calamia, friend of the player, was quoted saying by "Corriere della Sera".

"Now, unfortunately, (he) has trouble walking and Batistuta is seeking solutions. He can not stand for more than half an hour because of his knee problems," said the journalist, adding that "the medications have destroyed the knee tendons. "

The Italian insists that the former player can barely walk and recalls that the two became friends when the Argentine played as a striker in the Italian team Fiorentina and he worked as a journalist for the sports newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport."

Batistut had underwent various medical treatments with injections to relieve pain and reduce recovery time of some of his injuries.

"The most serious injury was that of February 7, 1999, when the striker was celebrating a goal in Fiorentina-Milan match," recalls the Italian newspaper.

Robin van Persie: The best player I’ve swapped shirts with

Van Persie said: "We are doing our house up now and I went to the other house and got a bag full of shirts which I changed with people and I had to pick nine of them to give them a new place in my house.

The best one is maybe the one – when I played for Feyenoord – against Inter Milan which was like, for us, ridiculously amazing, it was a massive dream come true.

I was just 18, semi-final of the Europe League then, away at Inter Milan and I swapped shirts with the big Ronaldo, his shirt, the one that he actually wore that day, all sweaty and stuff to me.

The other guys, they got the one with the thing in the back, not the real one, it was like he had five or six shirts but I had the proper one and I still have that one."

Liverpool prefer Twitter over the Official Website

Jovanovic’s transfer was widely expected, but it’s the unusual step taken by Liverpool to officially announce the deal on Twitter rather than their website that is surprising.
