According to Italian source Sky Sport 24, Doni is set to travel to England on Thursday to undergo a medical in Merseyside to end his stint at Roma and sign for Premier League side Liverpool.The shot-stopper will provide competition for Spanish international Reina, although his task in dislodging one of the Premier League’s top number 1s looks a difficult one.
The Serie A club are pushing ahead with their swoop for Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and moving Doni off the wage bill will help matters.
