Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Maxwell explained: 'At first I was just thinking of taking the centre spot because any Rovers fan would be interested in that but then after the Manchester United match I wanted the penalty spot as well.
'It is a piece of football history – maybe Rooney would be interested in buying it.'
