Liverpool to sack Roy Hodgson

All reports are suggestin that Liverpool will be axing manager Roy Hodgson after the Merseyside club fell to a humiliating defeat against Blackburn Rovers that was apparently the final straw for the club’s new owners.

Some sources are claiming that there will be a press conference tomorrow morning and that the former Fulham boss will be given his marching orders and that there is a very strong possibility Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish may well be appointed as a caretaker manager for a short period of time until the club’s owners can appoint a suitable replacement.

William Hill have slashed the odds on Hodgson being the next manager to be axed to 4/7 which is some way clear of his fellow under fire managers Carlo Ancelotti (9/4) Avram Grant (7/2) and Gerard Houllier (13/2), which may lead some to suggest that they have been tipped off or have prior knowledge of what may well be revealed in the morning.
